Has anyone seen the new Alice in wonderland movie? If you have can you tell me if its good, but don't tell me anything, or at least give spolier alerts. I'm thinking about seeing it but don't wanna waste my time and movie if it sucks.
It was alright... I guess. I dont put Lewis Carrol up on any pedestal and I wouldnt call myself a 'fan' of his work. It was entertaining and id say it was worth the 8.50$. On a side note, it was definitely directed at young women, so be warned. PSN name is toddex
I went last night. Definitely worth 8.50$ I may go see it again. The acting was very good mostly. The story was steady and engaging. The special effects were fairly well integrated. All and all it was a good story.
I do deeply appreciate Carrol's work but I see this as a homage it was meant to be not as usurper or a competitor.

The biggest thing that gets me is the hype: Johnny Depp! Johnny Depp! OMG, it's Johnny Depp! All the previews, Johnny Depp. Oh, an occasional glimpse of the queen, then more Johnny Depp. Who's touted as starrring in it? Johnny Depp! What's the name of the show? ALICE in Wonderland? Who's playing Alice? Why do we never see or hear who is playing the LEAD role?
Maybe the previews and the hype are just completely blowing Johnny Depp out of proportion, and he's on for the amount of time the Mad Hatter should be on for. Or maybe they've gone overboard with him. So which is it for those that have seen it?
I saw it today, and it was way good, Defenitly worth the 9$ (and in 3-d) I would say more but I don't want to give anything away to anyone that hasent seen it.
